Summary About the Position: This position is located with the Office of Technical Directors, U.S. Army Research and Development Center (ERDC), Vicksburg, MS. This position is being filled at the full performance grade of a DJ- 4 (GS-13/14). Responsibilities Review, analyze, and evaluate facility costs such as utilities, repairs, and PRIP to ensure all accounts are solvent and nominal. Plan, execute and monitor of all internal projects. Ensure obligations and expenditures incurred by programs are in accordance with existing laws and regulations. Provide support in financial management, operational budgeting, program support, rate calculations, and facility administration. Foster a working atmosphere conducive to collaborative efforts. Promote brainstorming when speaking with technical teams. Communicate to senior personnel and/or management on the financial condition of assigned programs. Create and maintain reports, workbooks, and scorecards for analyzing individual facility accounts. To qualify at the DJ-04 (GS-13/14) grade level: Specialized Experience: One year of specialist experience equivalent to a DJ-03 (GS-13/14) level in the Federal service which includes 1) creation and modification of analytical documentation and reports leveraging business intelligence and/or other analytical applications. 2) analyze and interpret financial data, 3) provide organizational business consulting and analysis 4) provide financial management within a project funded facility account environment with strong organization and communication skills. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade (DJ-03) or equivalent (GS-12). All qualification requirements, including time after competitive appointment, must be met by the closing date of this announcement. This position is covered by the Science and Technology Laboratory Personnel Management Demonstration Project at the DJ-04 (equivalent to GS-12/13).
