LANES END STALLIONS INC Horse Stable Worker in Versailles, Kentucky
Lane's End Stallions, Inc. is looking to fill 13 Horse Stable Worker positions in Versailles, KY to work approximately 02/17/2025 to 11/30/2025. This is a temporary, full-time, agricultural position.[Duties]: Perform any combination of the following tasks in order to attend to thehorse livestock, including mixing feed and additives, filling feed troughswith feed, and watering horses. Take horse to pasture for grazing. Examineanimals to detect diseases and injuries. Vaccinate animals by placingvaccine in drinking water or feed or using syringes and hypodermicneedles. Apply medication to cuts and bruises, sprays with insecticide, andherds them into insecticide bath. Confine horses to stalls, prepare them forbirthing, and/or assist in delivery of offspring. Wash, brush, trim, and/orcurry to improve appearance. Administer exercise regimens organized byveterinarians on a daily basis. Clean horse stalls and replace bedding, and clean sheds and/or stalls using disinfectant solutions, brushes, and shovels. Groom, clip, and trim animals for exhibition. May maintain ranch buildings and equipment, plant, cultivate, and harvest feed grain or hay forstock. Unload and store feed and supplies as needed for stock.[Requirements]: Training will be provided for 2 days and workers will be allowed 2 days tor each the production standards of the activity. Production standards -perform the following with minimal or no supervision: perform basic horsecare including brushing, bathing, clipping, following feeding and watering schedules, following supplement and medication schedules and properly administering medication; perform basic ground maintenance and repairincluding mucking the stall and basic operation of farm equipment such asa tractor and maintenance and cleaning of horse tack and riding equipment. Must be able to work at times in a standing, walking andstooping position. Employees must be able to frequently lift weights ranging from 20-50 lbs. 3 months experience required working with foals, yearlings - preparation and vaccinations. On-the-job training provided. The employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, andequipment required to perform the job.Lane's End conducts a pre-hire background check. Upon an extension of an offer of employment and acceptance by the applicant, a background check will be run prior to the person beginning employment. All applicantsat Lane's End, irrespective of position, are required to complete a background check and all applicants are made aware of this process when applying for a position. All costs of the background check are covered by Lane's End. No costs for this process are passed along to the prospective employee.[Lodging, Deductions, Benefits]: Housing provided by the employer includes free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities. Employer will provide, on a voluntary basis,transportation to assure workers access to stores where they can purchase groceries.[Inbound/Outbound Transportation]: Daily transportation to and from the worksite is provided for free. Employer will provide, on a voluntary basis, transportation to assure workers accessto stores where they can purchase groceries. If not previously advanced or otherwise provided, the employer will reimburse workers for reasonable costs incurred for inbound transportation and daily subsistence once theworker completes 50% of the work contract period. Reimbursement will be included in the first paycheck following 50% completion.Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for worker's reasonable costs to return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer who agrees to pay suchcosts, in which case the employer will only pay for transportation and subsistence to the next job. The amount of the transportation payment or reimbursement will be no less than the most economical and reasonable common carrier transportation charges for the distances involved. The amount of the daily subsistence payment will be at least $15.88 per day oftravel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with documentation of actual expenses. Employer will provide or pay the SWA: State Workforce Agency (SWA) Selection reasonable costs for lodging where lodging is necessary.Benefits available after 90 days of employment: health insurance. Benefitsavailable after 90 days of employment: PTO. Employer will reimburseworker in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing,and other related fees, including those mandated by the government,incurred by the worker.
