Description We are offering an exciting opportunity in Vernon, California, for a Controller to join our team. This role is central to our operations, with a focus on comprehensive management of financial matters. As a Controller, you will oversee full cycle accounting, manage reports, handle fixed asset accounting, and ensure the accuracy of financial statements.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis as well as upon request.
• Ensure the accurate and timely closure of month-end, adhering strictly to the company's established deadlines and standards.
• Conduct financial statement variance analysis, comparing to previous periods and budgets, and identify and explain any anomalies and trends.
• Manage fixed asset ledgers, ensuring all items are properly capitalized and depreciated.
• Review and reconcile bank statements regularly.
• Oversee daily cash reporting and perform monthly cash forecasting, planning, and budgeting. Requirements
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in a Controller or similar role
• Proficient in Full Cycle Accounting
• Expertise in Management Reporting
• Bilingual English/Spanish
• Ability to prepare and analyze Financial Statements
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is highly desirable
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a team
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Proficiency in computer software for financial management and reporting
• Detail-oriented with high standards for accuracy
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make well-judged decisions
• Strong knowledge of federal and state financial regulations
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
