This position is responsible for managing a team of test engineers and may work as a test engineer with project teams to provide product testing services for new product development, product cost reductions, manufacturing plant transfers and other types of projects that require testing services.

How You'll Help Us Connect the World:

• Direct test engineers, manage work assignments, feedback, performance reviews, compensation (merit, AIP, LTIP), and recommend promotions.

• Set and communicate lab and development goals, handle ISO17025 accreditation, lab audits, and process improvements (5S+1).

• Recognize employee contributions, manage resources, capital, hiring, and capacity planning.

• Contribute to budgeting, lab strategy, and long-term goal planning.

• Review/approve test plans, reports, and manage Co-Ops/Interns and R&D tax credit activities.

• Collaborate with global CommScope labs as needed.

• Work with cross-functional teams (design, project management, etc.), document product requirements, and develop test procedures.

• Create test fixtures/software, manage lab requests, schedule tests, and provide technical support.

• Provide testing feedback, perform failure analysis, write reports, and approve design/engineering changes.

• Drive technical improvements for cost savings or quality enhancements.

• Expertise in quality management, fiber optic products, and lab equipment.

• Competency in technical principles and tools (LEAN, 6-Sigma, DMAIC, DoE, etc.).

• Potential for international travel and growth within the engineering ladder.

• Collaborate with lab staff in a team environment, provide testing solutions, develop new methods, and improve data analysis.

• Recognized for technical leadership, known to key customers/suppliers.

• Lead improvement efforts, update procedures, and apply advanced data analysis methods.

• Pursue continuous self-development in relevant technologies.

Required Qualifications for Consideration:

• Engineering Graduate with a relevant working experience of preferably 14+ years along with a demonstrated ability in leading and managing a team.
