Legrand has an exciting opportunity for aShipping Clerkto join theElectrical Wiring Systems Teamin Vaughan, ON.The Distribution Center Shipping Clerk is responsible for performing any and all duties as prescribed by the Team Leader. Working areas generally include but are not limited to shipping and quality control. The DC Shipping Clerk is responsible for working in the most efficient and effective manner while following the prescribed standard operating procedures. Key performance indicators are to be reached on a daily basis. It is essential that the DC Shipping Clerk maintains an effective and efficient working relationship with his/her peers.
What Will You Do?
Responsible to efficiently and effectively ship all packaged orders to meet delivery targets.
Maintains effective relationship with all other members of the DC team.
Verify that box count and pick ticket match.
Verify pick ticket details, address, mode of transportation, shipping terms, special shipping instructions.
Utilize handheld RF scanning device to scan pick ticket.
Manually key information into Legrand’s system, as required.
Manually key information into third party logistics system, as required.
Verify systematic data to ensure order accuracy prior to confirmation and applying shipping labels.
Communicate internally with Team Leader and DC Associates, as required.
Communicate verbally with internal Customer Service Associates, as required.
Qualifications
Education/Experience:
High School Diploma – Mandatory.
Must have previous data entry experience via shipping orders or similar.
Skills/Competencies:
Proficient in both written and oral English language communication skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Strong sense of urgency and time management skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks at once while remaining focused.
Possess and demonstrates ability to work within a team and/or independent contributor.
Ability to push/lift up to 30 lbs., on occasion.
