The Thai Restaurant Manager shall be responsible for making recommendations regarding major decisions about the restaurant and its operation, and shall directly oversee the day-to-day operation of the business through the kitchen manager/supervisor and dining room manager/supervisor.  This includes decisions regarding marketing, investing, budgeting, and recruiting employees. Specifically, our Thai Restaurant Manager will have the following responsibilities:

 

  1. Hires/fires employees, implements employee training and policies, and generally handles all aspects of employment matters including interviewing new applicants, and developing employment policy;
  2. Develops the kitchen management plan and dining room management plan in order to maintain safety and security of employees, customers and Company's properties;
  3. Develops new menu items by applying in-depth knowledge and understanding of Thai cuisine;
  4. Oversees food preparation, checking the quality and size of the servings;
  5. Coordinates and trains the wait and kitchen staff;
  6. Answers questions regarding the food and service as well as resolving complaints from customers;
  7. To maximize sales, implements new marketing and development plans, such as participation in street fairs, the remodeling of the current dining room, and creating a competitive website;
  8. Acts as a contact person on behalf of the company with government agencies as well as distributors and suppliers;
  9. Creates inventory control procedures including keeping records of purchases and paying suppliers for profit maximization; and
  10. Keeps up with all legal requirements to make sure the company follows regulations and law regarding food safety, food handling and sanitation requirements.

Salary: $74,838/year
