Location: Vancouver, Washington * Type: Contract * Job #8036 Overview: ACS Professional Staffing is looking for an employee to work on-site with our client. This System Administrator position will oversee the administration, configuration, and maintenance of critical systems, including server virtualization, network security, patch management, and data storage. Responsibilities include troubleshooting technical issues, conducting system training, and implementing role-based access controls. The role also involves documenting procedures, ensuring compliance with standards, and providing technical support to resolve complex client issues. Strong knowledge of both Windows and Linux systems, as well as virtualization technologies, is essential for success in this role. This full-time position is located in Vancouver, WA. Pay Rate: $45.44 - $64.92 Benefits: * Paid holidays: 11 * PTO: Starting at 10 days * Sick Leave: Up to 56 hours per year (prorated based on start date) * EAP: Employee Assistance Program * Benefit Options Available: Medical, Dental, Vision, FSA, DCA, LPFSA, HSA, Group Life/AD&D, Voluntary Life/AD&D, Voluntary Short-Term Disability, Voluntary Long-Term Disability, Voluntary Critical Illness, Voluntary Accident, 401k (immediately eligible for employee and employer contributions - employer match up to 4%) * Other benefits include the following: Calm App, Access Perks Responsibilities: * With manager / technical lead oversight to perform professional-level system administration of the systems listed below, including: * Configure applicable software and systems, maintain local documentation, install, update, and remove software, applying change control processes and procedures. * Plan and prepare for future growth, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, and perform system-related training for the following systems: * Solarwinds server administration. * Vulnerability Scanning, including Nessus. * Cyber Vulnerability Assessment (CVA) and Mitigation Research. * Implement, design, and maintain least privilege and role-based access control models. * Patch Management * Server Virtualization, i.e. Hyper-V, VMWare vSphere * Network Virtualization, i.e. VMWare NSX, Cisco ACI * Antivirus, antimalware, and malicious code prevention * Data storage services, i.e. Nexgen, vSan, network attached storage arrays * Display infrastructure * Laptop and portable device support. * Software deployment services. * Virtualization infrastructure. * Windows & Linux operating systems * Windows infrastructure, i.e. active directory, group policy, PKI, et al * Print services * Support of in-house developed applications. * Central time distribution. * File services. * Linux infrastructure (deployment services, CentOS). * SMTP relay services. * Non-production workstations. * Provide the following support: * Research, test and draft / document standardized technical procedures for the deployment of server and workstation computer hardware and associated operating systems; organize, store and dispose of superseded documents in accordance with Information Governance & Lifecycle Management (IGLM) standards. * Perform regular assessments of newly discovered vulnerabilities on a wide range of operational network devices, computer systems devices and various software packages.
