PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center, nestled in the vibrant city of Vancouver, Washington, is seeking a skilled and organized PACS RIS Analyst to join our dynamic Imaging Department.

About the Role:

As a PACS RIS Analyst , you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Radiology Information System (RIS) and Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS). Your expertise will be instrumental in optimizing imaging workflows, troubleshooting technical issues, and supporting our dedicated healthcare team.

This full-time, 1.00 FTE day shift position will work on-site at PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center, and will be scheduled Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM-4:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the implementation and day to day operations of all aspects of the Radiology Information System (RIS) and Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS). Responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the software and hardware systems that support the image storage and delivery systems for the Imaging modalities.

  • Acts as a liaison in digital imaging initiatives within the Imaging department and other departments.

  • Provides applications support of PACS equipment, including modality workflow, archiving, quality assurance of data and images, and other related activities.

  • Works closely with the PACS team, Department Managers, and supervisors to ensure proper operation of DICOM digital image data transfer into the PACS, as well as, network transmission, RIS validation and exceptions handling.

  • Works closely with IT to assure smooth operation between HIS/RIS/and PACS systems.

  • Acts as first line resources for troubleshooting the system for optimum operation.

  • Provides backup when necessary for other analyst positions for the department.

  • Competitive Compensation: The salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $44.25 – $66.37. The hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to education, training, work experience, terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement, seniority, etc.

Qualifications:

  • PACS/RIS/HIS knowledge

  • Certified PACS Associate preferred (not required)

  • Experience in supporting software applications

  • In-depth knowledge of Imaging and Cardiovascular processes and services

  • An associate's degree in an Imaging Modality (Radiology, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, CT, or MRI) and 2 years of related experience as a practicing technologist in a hospital environment is preferred (not required). If an imaging technologist, license/certification/registration as required by the state will be needed at hire.

  • 4 years of PACS RIS Analyst experience may be considered in lieu of an associate's degree in an Imaging modality.

  • Strong modality operation background along with workflow knowledge and assessment abilities

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects and display flexibility in a fast paced and changing work environment
