David Evans and Associates Office Survey Technician in Vancouver, Washington

DEA's is searching for an Office Survey Technician that will be based in our Everett, WA office. The Survey Technician will perform data processing and analysis, and prepare plats and maps under supervision of a Survey Project Manager or Survey Task Lead. The projects will be general civil engineering with an emphasis on transportation, energy, and land development projects. The selected individual will be a good communicator and be able to complete work on schedule and within budget. This position might also spend time in the field. Position Duties: Work closely with Survey Manager and Project Surveyor. Provide office survey support to the field crews. Responsible for topographic surveys, design mapping, ALTA surveys, platting, etc. Perform research, data processing and calculations Production of deliverables utilizing Autodesk or Bentley CADD products. Assist with boundary analysis and determination. Prepare exhibits and legal descriptions. Occasional field work on a survey crew. Perform other duties as assigned. Basic Qualifications: Associate degree in Land Surveying/Civil Engineering (preferred) or 2+ years of relevant work experience. Experience with GPS and conventional survey data processing. Experience performing calculations, mapping, and engineering plan reading. Ability to learn AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Word, and Excel. Microstation experience a plus.
