Job Description

We are seeking experienced welders with expertise in aluminum welding to join our team. Candidates must be able to describe their experience and pass a weld test. The role involves welding and fabricating according to specific instructions, both in and out of position. MIG experience is required, and pulse arc experience is preferred. The ability to weld in multiple positions is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding and fabricating tasks on aluminum parts.

• Follow specific instructions for welding projects.

• Execute welding tasks in multiple positions.

• Utilize MIG welding techniques.

• Read and interpret blueprints for welding projects.

• Pass fracture-tested weld tests.

Essential Skills

• Experience in aluminum welding.

• MIG welding experience.

• Ability to read blueprints.

• Capability to pass fracture-tested weld tests.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Pulse arc welding experience.

• Experience in welding in multiple positions.

• Fabrication skills.

• Knowledge of fitting and grinding.

Work Environment

The work environment is a large-scale manufacturing facility specializing in structural steel and aluminum parts for government projects, including bridges, dams, nuclear sites, boats, and barges. The facility maintains a clean shop environment and primarily works with steel. Employees are required to wear steel-toed boots and safety glasses.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vancouver, Washington.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00
