Responsibilities
Implement efficient patterns to call dependent services, leverage a combination of multiple storage solutions like Redis, CosmosDB in a harmonious efficient way.
Implement high availability, resiliency patterns like Circuit Breaker, Retry, Fallback, Bulkhead Isolation, Throttling among others.
Own and operate services of massive scale.
Reuse existing open-source libraries and build new libraries of services and best practices for other teams to leverage.
Perform live site/dev ops engineering for services with top notch monitoring, dashboards, and troubleshooting guides.

Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
OR equivalent experience.
Demonstrated solid working knowledge on cloud computing / Azure / AWS / GCP / Kubernetes.
Other Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:
Solid analytical, problem solving and organizational skills and excellent written and oral communication skills.
Experience working on large scale cloud applications and the ability to deal with the ambiguity associated with working in a fast-paced and changing environment.
Experience developing test plans/cases, conditions, and scenarios in support of ongoing applications and infrastructure.
Evaluate current services and drive performance, availability, and supportability improvements.
Drive increased efficiencies through automation and reduction in operational expenditure.
Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across Canada is CAD $83,600 - CAD $159,600 per year.
