PURPOSE AND OBEJECTIVES

This role is part of the SAP Analytics CloudDeveloper Platform team where we work with the latest cloud and networking technologies, such as Cloud Foundry / AWS / Azure / Docker / Kubernetes / Terraform / Ansible, SAML SSO, OAuth, Microservices etc. We contribute to SAP Analytics Cloud's success by producing software, services and API's that are robust, reliable and scalable. EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
Because we work on the cutting edge technologies, we need someone who is eager to learn, a creative problem solver, resourceful in getting things to work and productive working independently or collaboratively. In your average week, you will:
Work closely with our engineering and operations team to build, integrate, test and deploy SAP Analytics Cloud into our production systems.
Collaborate with colleagues to understand new landscape requirements and help to adapt our solution to meet them
Develop, test and maintain build system, CI/CD framework and deployment tools
Automate and streamline deployment processes
Develop and maintain a monitoring system that overlooks our build and productive landscape
Lead efforts in automation, continuous deployment, build, and configuration management
Assess new technology projects and tools or migrate our environment to new versions to keep up with the rapid pace of change.
Establish reproducible process for setup and maintenance of new landscapes in collaboration with thedevelopment and operations teams.
Some on-call support is required during deployment time.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/ SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
5 years of relevantDevOps work experience with web applications
Bachelors degree, preferably in Computer Science or Engineering
Experiencedeveloping and managing complex build pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Flux, ArgoCD
Experience with containerization technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, docker-compose in a production environment.
Experience with AWS andCloud Foundry
Experience maintaining applications in virtualized environments
Strong background in Linux/Unix Administration
Strong experience coding full stack web based software and good understanding of security requirements for each layer
Experience in writing software in languages such as Java, Python, Go, Shell Script (5 years or more)
Infrastructure software tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and Packer
Experience with Source control such as GIT
Ability to work well in a team as well as independently and have a positive, self-motivated can-do attitude
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
Infrastructure software tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and Helm
Building containerized applications using Kubernetes, Docker
Building software that must scale to thousands of users concurrently
Experience with monitoring solutions such as Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana
Experience working with databases, automation frameworks, application installation/deployment, and security configuration management tools

SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 98500 - 212200(CAD) CAD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount, and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
