Key job responsibilities
We are looking for a software engineer to drive feature development for Amazon Location Service. You will take the lead on end-to-end full stack design, development of our new serverless AWS service. You will deliver a best in class customer experience and operate the service to the highest standards.
A day in the life
Start your day, grab a coffee (or tea), say hi to your team, design and build features to create or enhance AWS Service. Other elements in the day of a SDE include ensuring operational effectiveness, providing oncall support, running and attending meetings including sprint ceremonies and reviewing designs and work products with your team and stakeholders.
About the team
The Distributed SQL Console team works closely with the Product team, UX designers and with engineers that are building the database technology in an agile method. We work with other front end development teams in Amazon to tap into their experience and get support and mentorship on how to develop a focused customer experience with very high standards. The team is highly ambitious to create user friendly intuitive interfaces optimized for performance in a highly collaborative environment. Basic Qualifications
3+ years of non-internship professional front end, web or mobile software development using JavaScript, HTML and CSS experience
2+ years of computer science fundamentals (object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving and complexity analysis) experience
Experience using JavaScript frameworks such as angular and react
Preferred Qualifications
1+ years of agile software development methodology experience
Experience with common front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JS, TypeScript, and Node

The base salary for this position ranges from $114,800/year up to $191,800/year. Salary is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
