Aston Carter Financial Business Analyst in Vancouver, British Columbia

Aston Carter's client is seeking TWO Financial Business Analyst's to join their team. These individuals will be involved in the execution/testing of maintenance tasks, and developing/rolling out training materials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintenance, testing and troubleshooting of current systems.

  • Map data flowcharts and automation.

  • Work with various divisions to optimize workflows and enhance productivity.

  • Work on projects that streamline processes.

  • Lead training sessions to employees on new tools and methodologies.

  • Support the development and implementation of platforms to improve operations and decision making.

  • Support the implementation of data-driven solutions to enhance accuracy and timeliness of reporting and forecasting.

  • Analyzing current processes, identify inefficiencies, and support the development of streamlined workflows and operational efficiency.

  • Prepare detailed business requirement documents, functional specifications, and process flows to ensure clear communication between stakeholders and development teams.

  • Facilitate communication across departments and translating technical information into language that business stakeholders can understand.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Must Haves:

  • 3-7 years accounting experience (required to understand systems/processes).

  • Completion of or working towards CPA.

  • Experience with process optimization and automation projects.

  • Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Excel.

  • Experience analyzing large datasets.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Aptitude and curiosity for IT, digital/automation tools, and middleware.

Nice to Have:

  • Financial Institution experience

  • Experience within big 5 Financial Institutions

  • Experience with process optimization and automation within Banking

  • XML Coding experience

  • JIRA software proficiency

  • OSFI/FINTRAAC specific reporting experience

The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $110000.00/hr.
