Van Wert County Deputy Recorder in Van Wert, Ohio
The Van Wert County Recorder's Office is responsible for making a complete, accurate, and permanent record of every document pertaining to the conveyance and encumbrance of land within the county.
Office Hours
Monday -- 8:30 a.m. -- 5:00 p.m.
Tuesday thru Friday -- 8:30 a.m. -- 4:00 p.m.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and record documents
- Perform all accounting functions necessary
- Index, verify, and redact all documents presented for recording
- Index, verify, and redact historical documents
- Answer telephone calls and respond to emails
- Assist the public
Assist the Recorder with administrative duties Required Skills and Qualifications
Proficient typing skills
- Excellent proofing skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment
