The Job:

As a Project Manager, you’ll be part of our Global Supply Chain – Quality team working at Valley City, OH or Towson, MD (note: or as a virtual employee).

In order to support future growth, SBD is currently undergoing a significant transformation to become even more innovative and customer focused; with quality being a critical factor.

As a Project Manager, you’ll be part of our Global Quality team to specifically support and drive key elements achieving completion of deliverables within the GSC operating model as outlined:

• Utilize project management tools to accurately scope and track project performance and interdependencies

• Develop and execute project plans including resource requirements, deliverables, milestones, and completion timelines

• Partner with other functional teams to ensure alignment and collaboration of quality principles

• Functional leader on weekly project team calls

• Develop and own content that is presented in steering committee environment

• Identify and communicate project gaps and risks

• Work through conflicting issues, roadblocks and dependencies; proactively manage risks, changes and communication with project stakeholders

• Provide guidance and direction for continuous improvement activity as related individual projects

• Organize track and report multiple projects into a consolidated portfolio view

The Person:

• A bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical discipline required

• Minimum of 5 years of project management experience required

• PMP certification preferred

• Experience in a dynamic, large company environment.

• Extensive operating experience improving current business processes or implementing proven best practices

• Experience leading projects for multiple clients simultaneously

• A track record of delivering on agreed upon project objectives

• Well experienced in summarizing and presenting business information to all levels in organizations

• Strong leadership and organizational skills, and ability to prioritize workload

• Highly detail oriented, with excellent analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to coordinate internal resources in a matrix environment to accomplish project objectives

• Time management skills

• Professional verbal and written communication skills

• Experience with Microsoft Office, Smartsheet
