Overview
As our Medical Surgical Nurse at CHI Mercy Health Valley City, you’ll excel in your nursing career by providing care to patients admitted to our unit. Most of your patients are funneled in from other units providing you with the opportunity to build on your education and experience in specialized service lines such as cardiac, telemetry, orthopedics, neurology, critical care, surgical services, and emergency.

Responsibilities
Except to deliver care to 4-6 patients per shift
Providing treatments according to physicians’ orders
Administer medications, change dressings, monitor vital signs, and chart with timely documentation
Collaborate with a variety of other healthcare professionals such as social work, care coordination, physical therapy, occupational therapy, lab, respiratory therapy, and imaging
Monitoring patients’ conditions and assessing their needs
Fostering a supportive and compassionate environment to care for patients and their families
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license that allows you to practice in our state of North Dakota.
Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Care Life Support (ACLS) required.
One (1) year related experience in a clinic or acute hospital nursing setting required.
Preferred:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

Pay Range
$32.08 - $46.51 /hour
