IQVIA Senior CLS - Hematology in Valencia, California

We are seeking a Senior CLS - Hematology to join IQVIA Laboratories in Valencia, CA .

As a Senior CLS - Hematology, you will provide professional and technical skills to ensure accurate and timely performance of regular and specialized testing in various clinical laboratory areas. You will perform work within the allowed scope of your technical license.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Independently perform and report test results with minimal supervision for all clinical laboratory procedures, both automated and manual.

  • Act as a General Supervisor in the lab, maintaining oversight of ongoing competency assessments of lab staff.

  • Demonstrate proficiency and understanding of fundamental principles of clinical laboratory procedures with minimal supervision.

  • Maintain sufficient inventory of laboratory supplies for daily operations and prepare reagents required for testing.

  • Notify the supervisory team of any irregularities or factors that may influence test results.

  • Participate in the introduction of assay improvements, new assay configurations, and validation.

  • Use control measures and personal protective equipment provided, and report any safety-related deficiencies.

  • Ensure compliance with all local, federal, CLIA, and CAP regulations.

  • Adhere to the laboratory’s quality control policies, document all quality control activities, and maintain a clean and well-organized work area.

What we are looking for:

  • Valid California State Clinical Laboratory License

  • Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Laboratory Science, Clinical Science, or a related field, or equivalent and relevant experience.

  • 2 years of relevant lab or clinical trials experience.

  • Sound knowledge of principles, theories, and concepts in the job area.

  • Knowledgeable across all assays within the scope of the assigned technical area/department.

  • Other equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.

The knowledge, skills, and abilities needed for this role:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., frequent standing and walking, occasional sitting, close eye work requirement (computer, typing, reading small prints). Physical demands vary depending on the assigned work area and work tasks. Occasional exposure to cold temperatures.

  • Expertise with pipetting and other general molecular biology laboratory techniques.

  • Proficiency with laboratory calculations regarding batches and specimens, including averages, means, standard deviations, and various quality control metrics.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $77,700.00 - $129,500.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
