Description

We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Senior Accountant/Assistant Controller in Valencia, California. This role will primarily be involved in the management of our financial reporting and accounting functions.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the preparation and consolidation of financial statements

• Manage the general ledger and provide detailed analyses on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis

• Establish and maintain internal control systems to ensure accuracy and compliance

• Analyze and report on cost variances, and assist in managing the budget process

• Research and resolve accounting issues in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles

• Serve as a liaison to external auditors and manage activities related to external auditing

• Evaluate the effectiveness of accounting software and recommend improvements as necessary

• Oversee regulatory reporting, including tax planning and compliance

• Ensure all accounting activities are in compliance with GAAP

• Manage the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business results.

Requirements

• Experienced in budgeting and budget processes

• Proficient in using Excel formulas

• Experience in conducting financial audits

• Capability in handling month end close and year end closings

• Experience in financial reporting

• Proficiency in general accounting functions

• Ability to navigate and use various accounting software systems

• Experience in auditing

• Capable of managing balance sheet account

• Strong financial reporting skills

• Experience in preparing financial statements

• Proficient in general ledger management

• Experience in handling journal entries

• Experience in reviewing financial documents

• Proficient in reporting and reconciliations
