Job Description Summary
The primary objective of this position is to Lead the Lean Transformation to Deliver tangible Results in the overall SQDC performance of the organization through deployment of Lean Tools & Techniques and in the Transactional Processes.
This Position shall:
•Align & Prioritize the Organizational focus towards the Strategic Deployment Hoshin Kanri.
•Apply Lean Production System concepts, Kaizen /Blitz events and Six Sigma approaches.
•Network across GE subsidiaries to learn and share Best Practices for Horizontal deployment.
•Lead, Coordinate, Coach & Mentor Lean Coordinators for higher performance with effective execution rigor.
•Demonstrate Effective facilitative leadership with broad range of stakeholders globally, regionally, and locally across various functions of the value chain.
•Be Change Management agent by demonstrating Core Leadership skills – Recognizing, Coaching, Constructive feedback
The Lean Leader will play a pivotal role in implementing Lean principles and practices throughout the organization to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve overall operational performance. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership and coaching skills to inspire teams and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Process and quality improvement roles Impacts approaches, projects and programs in the functional area or affected business organization and ways of working. Impacts quality, efficiency and effectiveness of own team. Guided by professional practices and policies that are shaped by the role. The role has moderate autonomy, requiring high levels of operational judgement and sense of urgency
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
Lead and manage Lean transformation projects across various departments.
Develop and implement Lean strategies, tools, and methodologies to drive process improvements.
Conduct value stream mapping, Kaizen events, and root cause analysis to identify opportunities for improvement.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Train and mentor employees at all levels on Lean principles, ensuring sustainability of initiatives.
Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to Lean initiatives.
Identify and remove barriers to Lean implementation and encourage the adoption of best practices.
Support leadership in developing strategic plans aligned with Lean principles.
Drive change management efforts to ensure successful adoption of Lean processes.
Continuously evaluate and refine Lean strategies to align with business objectives.

Lean Road Map
Align with Regional strategy – Bowler & X matrix
To align on Global lean deployment strategy & activities (Global to Regional to Local)
Deploy Plant Lean Strategy
Lead or Support on relevant higher impact Lean Six Sigma projects
Team up annually with key leaders & align all functions towards VSM
Point of Contact for Tracking, Monitoring, Reporting & communicating the Lean deployment Progress and Performance both at internal & external platforms
Kaizen or Blitz Events Leadership
Organize and/or Lead high impactful Cross functional Kaizen events to meet the dynamically changing business needs.
Ensure the Kaizen events deliver Tangible Impact at end of the event and during sustenance period
Manage the Kaizen event calendar with 30/60/90 days sustenance plan to achieve set goals
Prioritize the focus areas for deployment of Kaizen Blitz and execute the implementation actions with sense of urgency
Learn and share the best practices will other regions as part of horizontal deployment initiative
Lean Culture
Impart Practical Training to Lean Coordinators all relevant employees throughout the organization
Facilitate the Problem-Solving approach to enhance the problem resolution culture
Support the Site Steering Committee to build Lean Culture by demonstrating /participating/leading in Core skills, Employee Involvement and Leader Standard work initiatives
REQUIREMENTS
Education
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree with a strong preference in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or Manufacturing Eng. required (from a recognized Institute)
Master’s degree preferred in operations / Industrial Engineering (from a recognized Institute)
MBA preferred (from a recognized Institute)
External Experience
12 -15 years of experience across the value chain of which 5 years dedicated to successfully implementing Lean
Practical Experience in implementation of TPS tools & techniques at Genba
Mandatory Management experience as People Leader
Successfully completed high impact Lean Projects
Certifications
Lean Manufacturing Certification – Highly Preferred
Lean Six Sigma Black Belt - Highly Preferred
Knowledge and Skills
Fluency in English language is Essential and other relevant language desirable
Must be “hands-on” and practical with ‘can-do’ attitude
Self-starter/learning and ability to navigate through the organization with ease
Demonstrated influencing and engaging skills across cross-functional teams
Demonstrate strong communication skills (including written, presentations)
Must have a result-oriented leadership style
Demonstrated significant experience of cost out across value chain (inc. customer and supplier partnerships)
Flexible team player with demonstrated ability to lead and develop others

Demonstrated skills on managing internal / external customer satisfaction
