This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is highly motivated to work as a key player in a dynamic team and to contribute to our Real Estate Investment Banking business. The job sits in the Amsterdam office. The Dutch team is part of the global investment banking (“IB”) venture and collaborates on a daily basis with the wider team. The IB-team sits within the broader capital markets group, including Property Investment and Debt & Structured Finance.

The CBRE Investment Banking business has a leading position in the real estate investment banking sector in terms of number of clients, transaction activity and market share. Our team is responsible for origination and execution of M&A, Equity Placement, Secondary Trading and capital markets transactions involving corporate and financial clients. Additionally, we provide C-suite management teams of our clients with comprehensive strategic advice related to their real estate and or business strategy.

We are looking for a (Senior) Associate to join the team. You will play an important role in the execution, collaborating closely with analysts and other associates, as well as the senior leadership team. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with clients, conducting real estate (platform) valuation analysis, preparing pitch or marketing collateral, creating bespoke financial models, analysing real estate platforms or client presentations. You will interact with our research team as well as specialist teams with sector focus. You will work with capital providers and cooperate with colleagues on projects across the spectrum of real estate investment banking activities. Key Responsibilities:

• Organize and prepare presentations that explain industry trends, discuss client options, and recommend strategies to help clients achieve their goals.

• Support analysts with the creation of pitch documents and perform initial underwriting to support the team in winning new business.

• Conduct detailed real estate (platform) valuation analysis, covering DCF, trading comparables, transaction comparables, LBO analysis, and transaction structuring.

• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of client transactions.

• Support with the preparation of presentation materials (such as books, management presentations, Board materials, and Memorandums) for corporate finance transactions, equity placement mandates and strategic client discussions.

• Perform research and conduct analyses to support the transaction process and give strategic advice to clients.

Desired technical, skills and experience:

• Ability to handle pressure while multitasking on numerous projects.

• Strong client facing skills: you are comfortable interacting with clients in a professional and mature manner.

• High attention to detail, proactive, and strong time management skills.

• Commitment to an inclusive teamwork environment.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to concisely communicate concepts and defend their validity.

• Experience in M&A, consultancy, valuations or investments.

• Proficiency in financial modelling.

• Experience: 3 to 5 years
