Suny Polytechnic Institute Part-time Food Pantry Coordinator in Utica, New York

The Food Pantry Coordinator supports the mission of SUNY Poly by providing oversight in the Poly Pantry to help eliminate food insecurity for SUNY Poly students. The coordinator will assist with hiring, training and supervising work study students and volunteers. Update training materials as needed and develop programming to effectively promote the services the pantry provides. The coordinator will maintain sanitation and food safety protocols, ensure all expired food is disposed of properly, assist with social media and marketing as needed, maintain accurate data for reporting using software provided by Feeding America, and assess need and order inventory as needed through various providers. Evening and weekend work on occasion may be required to accommodate admissions programming. Work with local SNAP agency. Maintaining confidentiality is crucial. Other reasonable duties as assigned.

This position is only during academic semesters. Maximum of 20 hours per week. Hours may vary. $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

  • Supervise, and oversee all aspects of running and maintaining the food pantry

  • Maintain accurate reporting

  • Developing programming to effectively promote the pantry

  • Working with marketing department to promote the pantry

  • Other reasonable duties as assigned

High School Diploma

2 years' work experience
