Job Description

• We are seeking a dedicated Environmental Field Technician to oversee the installation, calibration, and maintenance of flow and level monitors within sewer lines, as well as rainfall monitoring equipment.

• This role involves significant travel within the Utica, Syracuse, Onondaga, and surrounding areas, with occasional travel to New York City for larger projects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the installation of flow and level monitors within sewer lines.

• Oversee the installation of rainfall monitoring equipment.

• Calibrate flow monitors.

• Collect and review sewer flow, level, and rainfall data.

• Maintain accurate, legible, and organized records in accordance with company quality standards and instructions.

Essential Skills

• Experience in environmental science.

• OSHA 40 certification.

• HAZWOPER certification.

• Wastewater management knowledge.

• Ability to lift 50 lbs.

• Comfortable working in confined spaces, such as manholes.

• Strong organizational skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• BS in Environmental Science preferred but not required.

• High school diploma acceptable.

• CPR certification.

• First Aid certification.

Work Environment

• You will work a schedule of Monday to Thursday, typically 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, with overtime available.

• This position requires 50%-60% travel around Utica, Syracuse, Onondaga, and nearby areas, with some travel to New York City.

• You will work with another team member and report to a manager.

• The office is located in Utica, NY.

• The work environment involves crawling into manholes to test meters for sewer and drain lines.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
