Share This Job Job Description An Associate Scrummaster is responsible for managing Agile processes in order to deliver quality products quickly to market. The Scrummaster at this level is expected to learn, understand, and carry on the Engineering department's current practices, including Agile processes, and integrate with their team. Essential Duties

  • Reinforce SirsiDynix best practices and Agile processes

  • Track technical dependencies and coordinate efforts across teams

  • Help the Product Owner find effective ways to manage the product backlog

  • Be able to fill in for an absent product owner for 1-2 days, responding to customer, stakeholder, and vendor questions, reporting on product goals and progress, and prioritizing urgent work for the team

  • Schedule and facilitate meetings

  • Provide feedback to the product team regarding areas for improvement

  • Shield the team from external distractions in order for the team to focus on delivering product

  • Identify and remove impediments that negatively affect the delivery goals or team environment

  • Ability to navigate the software

  • Participate in the Scrummaster team meetings and complete 5-15 reports

  • Prepare share status updates (weekly and monthly) for the project with stakeholders (through Slack, review meetings, and Engineering reports)

  • Assist in hosting department events

  • Be able to give standard onboarding training on Jira, Confluence, Scrum, and the importance of libraries to new hires as needed

  • Basic Jira project and system administration

Additional Responsibilities

  • Prepare Scrum artifacts and make them visible to relevant stakeholders

  • Manage product Confluence space and team Confluence pages

  • Track required team performance metrics

Experience

  • 0-12 months experience in a software environment, implementation, or technical support

  • Proficient in Microsoft office

  • Experience with public speaking/presentations

Hiring Salary Range

  • Hourly position with $40,000 to $52,000 pay range depending on qualifications
