Position Purpose and Impact

The Aspira Solutions division Packing Technician assists the warehouse in the day-to-day production and operation regarding all items under the Logistics Department. This position is responsible for refurbishment and packaging of all equipment is of the highest level and to the best of looking brand new condition as possible. The incumbent’s work is the first thing the client sees when they open our packaging.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for assisting the Warehouse Team in successful and timely flow of production work.

  • Inspection of all equipment and peripherals before sanitizing, cleaning, and packing for any issues.

  • Sanitizing and cleaning of all equipment and peripherals to present as like new condition.

  • Assemble and prepare boxed equipment for shipment to prevent damage to equipment while in transit.

  • Label each equipment package and packaged components with a barcode that includes Model, Serial Number, Client, and Asset Number.

  • Sort equipment after the repacking process, placing it on the correct shelves per type or client queues.

  • Report any defective items to Warehouse Management for correction.

  • Store, restock, and shelve items utilizing established inventory control system.

  • Assist in auditing and the updating of inventory records.

  • Monitor supply levels of items needed to perform the position and communicate low supply to management.

  • Maintain 5S organization of personal and common workstation and warehouse that supports a systematic organization of workplaces.

  • Help ensure proper working condition of work areas, grounds, tools, fixtures, and equipment; arranging for repairs or replacements as needed with the Warehouse Management.

  • Recommend tools, fixtures, equipment, layout changes, andor processes to improve workflow, productivity, and quality of performance for the position.

  • Responsible for working with the Warehouse team to ensure accurate and timely shipping and receiving of all items to ensure that the warehouse meets the contractual SLAs.

  • Receive, ship, refurbish, program equipment as needed to help with the success of the Warehouse Team.

  • Represent the Aspira Logistics Department professionally. Fostering respect, a teamwork spirit, and maintaining a work, onsite and telecommute environment, that can be described as neat, pleasant, and approachable.

Desired Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

  • Minimum 1 year of warehouse work experience, preferably in a technology driven environment.

  • Working knowledge of a variety of production equipment (including tools, fixtures, storage equipment, etc.).

  • Minimum 1 year of working knowledge of computer and/or POS equipment warehousing and/or refurbishment.

  • 1 years’ experience in refurbishment and/or repacking of electronics within a warehouse environment.

Desired Hardware and Software Competency

  • 1 – 2 years of working knowledge of ticketing/inventory portals (e.g.: ASSIST, CSM, CA control centers, JIRA, WMS, ServiceNow).

  • Working knowledge of Shipping Manager software systems (FedEx, UPS, USPS).

  • Working knowledge of standard MS Office platforms (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

General Physical Demands and Working Conditions

  • Stationary work, frequent moving to access resources and complete tasks, and positioning self to move in a manner that can be described as bending, stopping, kneeling, reaching, the occasional ascension/descension of a ladder, and/or climbing, with general coordination and balance necessary for safety of movement, manual dexterity to operate office equipment such as phones, computers, copiers, and faxes, as well as the ability to move, transport, position, push /pull materials and objects weighing up to 25 pounds.

  • Daily determination, at a level suitable for safety and awareness within a warehouse environment, obtained through an ability to visually detect, perceive, identify, recognize, and inspect, at a far and close range, with the ability to differentiate colors, is required in tandem with the ability to verbally communicate, converse, discern, convey, and exchange information.

  • Frequent operation of a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, printer, etc.,

  • Scheduled hours, such as weekend, evening, or holiday shifts may occur as required by the business.
