Analytical Performance, R&D Allergy

Uppsala, Sweden

The Analytical Performance group at Thermo Fisher Scientific in Uppsala, is an interdisciplinary team of 13 driven and engaged colleagues that belongs to the R&D Allergy department. The group is responsible for Analytical Performance studies including stability studies for most of the company’s diagnostic allergy products. We are now looking to expand and further strengthen our group with a new colleague who is interested to work in our labs.

This position is within the ImmunoDiagnostic Division in Uppsala, Sweden. Our division has around 1600 employees worldwide and is a market leader within diagnostic tests for allergy and autoimmune diseases. We have our headquarter in Uppsala where we also have our research and development as well as manufacturing for all our diagnostic allergy products.

How will you make an impact?

As a member of the Analytical Performance group, you will work cross functional to ensure that all allergy products has stability and analytical performance data to support product claims and for global registration. You will be involved both in studies of new and updated products within the allergy portfolio as well as ensuring that the products we have on the market has performance data that meets all requirements from global authorities.

What will you do?

  • Plan, perform and evaluate experimental work. Mainly stability studies but also other performance studies.

  • Writing performance reports

  • Support the department by performing immunoassays

  • Support and collaborate with our regulatory department regarding performance data for product registration

  • Improve the everyday work

How will you get here?

Education:

  • Applicants should have a Bachelor/Master of Science degree, or equivalent work experience, in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Immunology, biomedical science or equivalent.

Experience:

  • Experience from laboratory experience is desirable. Working with stability studies will be merited.

  • Experience from working with immunodiagnostics test/ImmunoCAP is desirable

  • Experience using Phadia 250 or Phadia 1000 system and from laboratory work in aregulated environment (QSR/ISO13485) will be seen as a merit

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Strong lab skills.

  • Self-motivated and organized.

  • Individual must work well in a team environment and be adaptable to changes in priorities.

  • Good oral and written skills in both Swedish and English
