JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

W orkload Automation Analyst

The Pennsylvania State University has an excellent opportunity in the Enterprise Services Division for a talented and driven Workload Automation Analyst to join its Integration and Workload Automation Team in support of their Informatica Integration Platform and BMC Control-M Enterprise Scheduler.

The Workload Automation Analyst will be responsible for building, maintenance, service delivery , and technical support of production batch workloads across various enterprise systems using BMC's Control-M. Currently, this service sustains operations for over 50 P enn State units including all PSU ERPs (enterprise resource planning systems) and external vendors. This position is instrumental in advancing the initiative of implementing the integration platform, Informatica, which plays a pivotal role in PSU's strategic data management goals of facilitating improved data capture, access, integrity , and sharing.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, schedule, monitor, and diagnose problems of all production-orchestrated workflows

  • Maintain all data sources and data storage options

  • Coordinate and develop all ETL (extract, transform, load) processes

  • Administer requests and analyze issues to provide effective resolution

  • Analyze functional requirements to support designing, coding, testing, and promoting data and application integrations across Informatica environments

  • Prepare and perform test plans according to required specification and partner requirements

  • Monitor system operation and performance and provide effective and efficient resolutions to incidents

  • Lead and/or provide technical guidance to staff and teams; Conduct technical walkthroughs, report project status, enable vendor solutions, and provide accurate and concise documentation

  • Prepare and maintain disaster recovery procedures, user operations manuals, and other documentation

  • The 24/7/365 availability of campus services requires support outside of regular working hours and will involve participation in an on-call rotation schedule

    Qualifications :

  • This position will be filled as an Advanced Processional . This position requires a minimum of a n associate degree and 4 year s of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • R elevant experience in designing and development with Informatica Intelligent Data Cloud Services (IDMC) AND experience in designing and development with BMC Control-M is necessary.

  • The ability to create REST API’s using IDMC for real time application integrations Experience with relational databases and non-relational data sources (MSSQL, Oracle, and flat files) , data and application integrations.

  • Strong software and system architecture skills

  • D emonstrated experience in collaborating in fast paced enviro nment where simultaneous proje cts take plac e and t he ability to articulate technology concepts to both business and technology audience .

    Preferred Skills and Familiarity :

  • Agile methodologies, code reviews, and test-driven development

  • Cloud platforms (Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure)

  • Experience in higher education or similarly complex organizations .

  • Working knowledge of source control tools (GitHub)

  • Service Management tools ( ServiceNOW )

The salary range for this position, including all possible grades is:

$56,200.00 - $81,500.00
