The Pennsylvania State University is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Payroll Supervisor to join our team. This position is responsible for overseeing all payroll operations, ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing, and providing leadership and guidance to the payroll team.

As the Payroll Supervisor, you will:

  • Be responsible for supervising the payroll department

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and overseeing the timely and accurate processing of payroll for all employees and student workers

  • Generation of W-2/W-2c and other payroll related forms and documentation

  • Work closely with the Payroll Manager, HR, Finance, and other departments to manage payroll-related inquiries, resolve issues, and implement best practices

This position also provides exceptional customer service through telephone calls, electronic and in-person communications to address and resolve payroll issues, and sensitive and complex questions.

This position minimally requires an Associate's Degree or higher plus 4 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. This position requires experience in payroll and a proficient knowledge of Payroll practices, taxes, and gross to net calculations. Working knowledge of Workday is preferred.

This position offers a flexible work arrangement that combines remote and on-campus work (at least two days per week on site). Questions related to flexible work should be directed to the hiring manager during the interview process.

Due to the financial and fiduciary responsibilities of this position, successful completion of a credit history check will be required in addition to standard background checks.

The salary range for this position, including all possible grades is:

$56,200.00 - $81,500.00
