JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The research team at Penn State Ross and Carol Nese College of Nursing is hiring part-time research evaluators for projects focused on dementia care in assisted living settings.
The research evaluator will assist with in-person recruitment, consent, data collection, and data entry along with other duties. The on-site recruitment and data collection activities are projected to begin in early 2025 and continue through Fall of 2025. The research evaluator will need to travel to study sites located around State College, Harrisburg, Hershey, and other nearby locations as needed.
Job DutiesResponsibilities include but are not limited to:
Assist with in-person recruitment, consent process, and screening of research participants.
Perform research procedures at assisted living settings including data collection, data entry, data management, and maintaining data protections.
Assist with other research work as assigned.
Attend scheduled team meetings (in-person and online).
Qualifications and Requirements
Be able to work in person at several clinical research sites in central PA including but not limited to State College, Harrisburg, Hershey, and nearby locations.
Employment with the University for this opening will require the operation of a motor vehicle as a part of the job duties. A valid US driver’s license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.
Be available for on-site data collection and other research activities during the spring, summer and Fall of 2025.
Complete human subject research training as directed.
Be able to collaborate with the PI and research team to meet project deadlines.
Be able to work independently to keep the project on track.
Preference may be given to individuals with experience in healthcare or related field, experience with older adults with cognitive impairment or in long-term care settings, and prior research experience (e.g., data collection and management).
The research evaluator will work approximately 10 hours a week with the possibility for more hours depending on the project schedule and will be compensated at $18.00 - $25.00 per hour depending on the experience.
