JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Outreach Office in the College of Health and Human Development at Penn State is seeking anInstructional Designer to collaborate with faculty and the learning design team to design, develop, implement, and evaluate online courses and other learning resources.

What You'll Do:

Collaborate with faculty and the learning design team to develop and design online and hybrid courses.

Implement and evaluate learning resources to ensure student-centered experiences.

Apply knowledge of instructional systems, learning theories, and best practices in course design.

Utilize Learning Management Systems (Canvas preferred) and other emerging educational technologies to enhance online learning environments.

Provide leadership and self-management within the learning design team, fostering innovative solutions for course development.

Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (Canvas preferred) and other educational technologies

Experience in instructional systems and learning theories

Required Education and Experience:

Requires a Master's Degree or higher plus one year of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Desired Qualifications:

Experience working in online or hybrid course design environments is preferred. Strong self-management and leadership skills are an asset.

The salary range for this position, including all possible grades is: $51,000.00 - $74,000.00
