JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Smeal College of Business Professional Graduate Programs office seeks to fill the position of Admissions Assistant for the Penn State Online MBA Program. This position is based in the front office of the Professional Graduate Programs suite and is responsible for supporting the Online MBA program 70% of the time with 30% of the role supporting multiple programs as the frontline contact for the unit. This position requires onsite working hours Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m - 5:00 p.m. The position reports to the Managing Director of the OMBA program with a dotted line to the Office Manager.

In collaboration with the OMBA leadership team and staff, the Admissions Assistant spearheads the operational aspects of the OMBA admissions processes for three program intakes per year. This requires processing 800-900 applications and assisting with onboarding of up to 400 students annually.

Duties include frequent communication with prospective students, applicants, and newly matriculated students during the admissions and onboarding processes, as well as monitoring and tracking application materials, updating data and maintaining data integrity, admissions reporting, sending admissions communications, scheduling interviews and meetings, coordination of materials and other administrative tasks relating to the operations of the program as required. The admissions assistant also acts as the Zoom Technical Assistant during the Team Performance Immersion experience for each incoming class. The assistant role may also assist with the admissions processes for other programs as needed.

The successful candidate will have a service orientation, strong communication skills (written and verbal), the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while juggling multiple priorities and stakeholders, excellent attention to detail, the ability to work both independently and in a team with minimal oversight, appreciation for diverse audiences, exceptional organizational skills and time management, and the ability to learn new systems, technologies and skills quickly. Experience with Salesforce and/or Marketing Cloud is helpful.

The position requires a minimum of a high school degree (bachelor’s preferred) and 2 or more years of work experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

The salary range for this position, including all possible grades is:

$38,300.00 - $55,500.00
