JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Program Planning and Management (PPM), a unit within World Campus, is seeking a highly motivated and skilled professional to join our team as an Academic Program Coordinator - Intermediate Support.

Job Responsibilities:

Build strong relationships with academic partners through effective communication, knowledge of applicable policies and resources, and sharing of information and data.

Communicate with faculty, staff, and students; respond to inquiries related to individual courses, degree requirements, or the overall academic program.

Maintain course offering schedules and rollouts and disseminate updates to internal and external stakeholders.

Work with the program coordinator team to apply program knowledge to enter course offerings in LionPATH, including section, instructor, and enrollment management information.

Exercise professional judgement with tasks related to course enrollment and the override process.

Apply knowledge of iTwo and LionPATH to pull queries, interpret data, and create reports and detailed presentations for internal and external partners.

Send student accessibility notifications to World Campus instructors and stakeholders on a semesterly basis.

Build and maintain an extensive knowledge base of unit processes and university policies.

Coordinate the planning and development of agendas for Program Planning and Management unit meetings, academic program team meetings, meetings with internal World Campus units, and meetings with other departments across Penn State.

Participate in cross-unit projects and serve on committees as needed.

Create and maintain confidential files and reports.

Compose written communication and proofread correspondence.

Manage multiple Outlook calendars that contain a high volume of meetings

Oversee activities such as setupand scheduling for virtual and in-person meetings with internal and external participants; plan travel arrangements and prepare and submit expense reports when necessary.

Coordinate and participate in various meetings and record minutes.

Support the daily operational functions of PPM and other duties as needed.

Resolve issues related to the above with internal and external stakeholders.

Education and Experience Requirements: At minimum requires a High School Diploma/GED or Vocational Training/Degree and 2+ years of relevant experience. Or, an equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor's degree preferred.

Work experience using Microsoft Office 365 tools (Teams, Word, Excel, Forms, SharePoint, OneDrive, etc.)

Interest in learning job-related software

Experience with higher education software systems such as LionPATH and iTwo preferred

Demonstrates a genuine appreciation for working with diverse populations

Experience in higher education preferred

Additional Information: Typical working hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.This is a hybrid position that combines in-person and remote work with in-person activities located at the University Park campus. The salary range for this position, including all possible grades is: $38,300.00 - $55,500.00
