Do you have experience processing documentation required by US Customer and Border Protection for entry of good into the US? Do you have experience with Ocean & Air Import? Keep Reading!!

Randstad is looking for a professional Import Agent who is accustomed to meeting critical deadlines and working in a fast paced environment. This position requires basic knowledge of INCO terms, the Harmonized Tariff Schedule, and Customs regulations. In addition, knowledge of domestic and international geography is needed.

salary: $20 - $24 per hour

work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM

education: High School

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service

• Maintain and update all customs compliance documentation

• Conduct track and trace activities with carriers and ports

• Monitor detention and demurrage deadlines, escalating issues to management when needed

• Coordinate delivery and invoicing for import services rendered

• Communicate daily with overseas and domestic agents, airlines, steamship lines, and co-loaders

• Collaborate with other departments to ensure high-quality service to customers

• Promptly report issues affecting clearance and delivery to customers and management, both verbally and in writing

• Notify management of any freight discrepancies

• Ensure all files contain the necessary document copies

Skills

• INCO Terms (1 year of experience is required)

• MS Office (5 years of experience is required)

• International Geography (1 year of experience is required)

• Import Agent (2 years of experience is required)

• ERP
