Position Summary:
This position is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations in the Stewarding department.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities: includes but not limited to:
Ensures an adequate supply of clean china, glass and silver is available to all outlets
Guarantees the proper allocation of goods to the proper outlet
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:
Assists in training and scheduling of the Stewarding department staff
Aids in maintaining inventories
Minimum Education and Qualifications:
- Two years of experience as a Steward, in a high volume operation
Competencies: Incumbent will master the following competencies while in this position:
Good written and verbal communication skills
Good organizational and multi-tasking skills
Proper cleaning and storage techniques
Understanding of cleaning methods
Knowledge of the Mohegan Tribal Employment Rights Ordinance (TERO) as it relates to employment
Training Requirements:
Must complete all appropriate Human Resources Supervisor Training classes
Understanding of health and sanitation guidelines
Knowledge of Ascent, EmpowerTime and Manager Self Service systems
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Fast paced kitchen environment
Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Must be able to work various shifts and flexible hours
