Robert Half Cyber Security Engineer in Uncasville, Connecticut
Description We are offering an exciting opportunity in the cybersecurity sector. The position is based in Uncasville, Connecticut and involves working on cybersecurity issues. The successful candidate will be a Cyber Security Engineer who will be in charge of maintaining and implementing security measures, as well as interacting with various stakeholders to identify and address potential security risks.
Responsibilities:
• Offer guidance and recommendations for the protection of information systems assets across various functional units.
• Implement and maintain a range of security tools and platforms, including Secure Service Edge (SSE), Privileged Access Management (PAM), Identity Access Management (IAM), Extended Detection and Response (XDR), and Security Awareness Training portals.
• Design, document, and maintain highly complex security solutions, focusing on areas such as networking, cryptography, cloud, authentication and directory services, email, internet, applications, and endpoint security.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across various functions to identify and address potential security gaps and risks.
• Conduct risk assessments to identify security vulnerabilities and issues, and evaluate potential remediation alternatives.
• Support the development of security policies, standards, and plans to protect corporate data from unauthorized access, use, modification, and destruction.
• Participate in the execution of exposure and risk management, information security, and data compliance initiatives across all business units.
• Maintain regular interactions with security vendors and cyber security team members.
• Contribute to computer investigation efforts as requested by management and participate in the Change Control Review Process for cybersecurity subject matter expertise.
• Act as an internal consultant and mentor, providing technical guidance to entry level staff.
• Maintain a high level of technical expertise and knowledge of current products, to determine which best meet the organization’s needs. Requirements
• Applicants must have at least 5 years' experience in a Cyber Security role.
• Proficiency in Cyber Security is a key requirement for this position.
• Prior experience working with a Security Operations Center (SOC) is a plus.
• Candidates should be familiar with Single Sign-On (SSO) procedures.
• Expertise in Identity and Access Management (IAM) is a crucial aspect of this role.
• Knowledge and experience in using Office 365 is a requisite.
• Applicants should have a deep understanding of identity and access management principles.
