Job Description

Your contribution

As Mechanical Design Engineer at Teledyne FLIR you will interface with both the industrialization and Production side. Your expertise will play a key role in analyzing the new products in the early stage to influence the design to fit Production. At the same time, you will interact with operators and other engineers to improve the Production System for the already released products. Your responsibility will be to deliver concepts, design, prototypes, and implementation. We aim to have every implementation as robust and predictable as possible. All to maintain and increase the overall quality of our products.

In this role you will belong to a team of engineers with diverse competences, within areas such as project management, electronics engineering, software engineering, mechanical engineering, and experts in thermography and equipment. In many areas of your work, you will interact with R&D where your primary responsibility is to review and feedback product design to fit Production.

If you are curious, driven, creative, and collaborative; this role is for you! You should strive to learn from every improvement and project to take it a step further in the next assignment. Over time you are expected to define a vision in which tools/equipment/solutions/suppliers we will move towards.

• Define concepts for assembly/calibration/internal transportation

• Iterate design and prototyping

• Order parts, both internal and external

• Lead implementation of new/updated solutions

• Improve your way of working to become more efficient over time

To be ready to take on this role we would love if you have

• Experience in CAD, SolidWorks is preferred

• Bachelor- or master’s degree in mechanics

• Excellent collaboration and communication skills

• Technically interested and driven to improve and conquer new skills

• Fluent in Swedish and English

• Extra credit if you have experience/interest within automation and robotics
