Assists with departmental transportation planning-related activities by drafting or performing computer entry work in support of plans, specifications and estimates; or assisting in district/division level review of plans, specifications and estimates (PS E), and supporting documents for accuracy and completeness: and ensuring compliance with state and federal design guidelines. In a district, provides support to the residencies during their plan preparation process. Employees at this level perform assignments following specific instructions and are subject to frequent review by the immediate supervisor.Essential Duties: Assists in making corrections and/or revisions to plans and related documents.Corrects general notes, specification lists and estimates.Designs and prepares plans for special projects.Plots general notes and estimates and quantity sheets.Prepares escrow documents, overrun and other technical correspondence to ensure project letting.Provides information to the public on proposed projects.Sets up mainframe computer files for backlog project storage.Performs other job responsibilities as assigned.
