Description

The mission of the Idaho Industrial Commission is to fairly administer the Idaho Workers' Compensation Law.

This position performs a wide variety of secretarial functions in the Rehabilitation Division Twin Falls Field Office. Employees in this classification are typically delegated the authority to coordinate non-routine secretarial and clerical activities.

    Example of Duties:

  • Provide Rehabilitation Support to the Industrial Commission Rehabilitation Division's Field Consultants who are responsible for providing vocational rehabilitation services to injured workers

  • First point of contact with the parties involved in the workers' compensation system i.e. claimants, medical providers, sureties, employers, and attorneys

  • Create and maintain the rehabilitation case files

  • Research, analyze and compile accurate case information by independent contact with sureties, medical providers and claimants

  • Utilize specialized case management software to prepare correspondence, and edit case note entries for correct grammatical and professional communication of information

  • Work as a team to assure that timely and professional rehabilitation services are provided

  • Provide clerical support to a Compliance Investigator similar to Rehabilitation Division Field Consultants by completing file set-up, transcription, utilization of program software, preparing and sending correspondence, and tracking return responses

    Minimum Qualifications:

  • Good knowledge of: office support functions including word processing, filing, composing a variety of business documents, reception, gathering and compiling data, and balancing and coordinating a workload for multiple projects

  • Experience using Microsoft Word (advanced/intermediate level)

  • Experience analyzing and summarizing information, composing and proofreading business correspondence

  • Experience performing reception duties, gathering and compiling data, and balancing coordinating a workload for multiple projects

  • Experience interpreting, applying, and explaining complex information

  • Experience explaining program service and independently handling complaints and upset customers

  • Keyboard at a rate of 50 words per minute

    Supplemental Information:

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience aiding a manager, supervisor, and/or field consultant by interpreting, applying and explaining complex information such as regulation, policies or services

  • Experience using transcription/equipment preferred but not required and answering a business telephone using knowledge of business telephone procedures and etiquette

  • Knowledgeable in medical terminology

  • Good time management/prioritization skills
