Job Title: Certified Maintenance Technician/Yard Laborer/Plant Operator
Reports To: Yard Supervisor, Twin Falls Location
Pay Rate: \$23-\$25 per hour DOE
Position Summary: We are seeking a Certified Maintenance Technician/Yard Laborer/Plant Operator to join our clients team. The successful candidate will maintain equipment and plant operations, assist in organizing and maintaining sealcoat production, and perform various duties to ensure the smooth operation of the sealcoat plant. Additionally, the role involves making deliveries to sealcoat customers using a non-CDL commercial vehicle and may require assistance at another location during peak season.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Service and repair customer and company equipment promptly.
- Complete and submit work orders to the Yard Supervisor to ensure proper billing for customer-related repairs.
- Operate under the repair schedule provided by the Yard Supervisor.
- Ensure tools and equipment are stored correctly and in safe operational condition.
- Keep tool areas clean and organized.
- Assist in ensuring semi-trucks and trailers are always DOT compliant.
- Help train truck drivers on offload/onload procedures.
- Coordinate vehicle repairs with the Yard Supervisor.
- Perform yard maintenance repairs and meet due dates.
- Assist in maintaining timely production of sealcoat.
- Monitor sealcoat production for quality assurance.
- Work with management to maintain appropriate levels of precast physical inventory.
- Maintain the sealcoat plant to ensure proper operating standards, including winterization.
- Maintain the yard to ensure a safe environment for materials, trucks, and customers.
- Keep the yard, office, and working areas clean and organized.
- Complete any additional tasks assigned by the Yard Supervisor or Manager.
Other Responsibilities:
- Run day-to-day operations to fill in for other yard staff and the Yard Supervisor as needed.
- Assist office staff with sales and customers.
- Use yard office computer and QuickBooks to create invoices for customers when the store is closed.
- Ensure the filtration system is cleaned and maintained.
- Assist in training new yard personnel.
- Be available on-site within 30 minutes when on-call.
- Document and invoice any after-hours or weekend call-ins for billable hours.
