Amergis Now Hiring - School Athletic Trainer! in Tustin, California
Amergis Staffing isseeking an Athletic Trainer to advise individuals on how to recover fromor avoid athletic-related injuries or illnesses and maintain peak physicalfitness. This individual focuses on the prevention of musculoskeletal injuriesand upstream management through early intervention.
Requirements:
High school graduate or equivalent
1 year experience as a high school athletic trainer or similar related work and training desired
BA in athletic training, health science, kinesiology, or related field required
MA in athletic training desired
Valid certification as a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) from the Board of Certification for the Athletic Trainer (BOC) required.
Certification by an organization recognized by the National Commission on Health Certifying Agencies and the American Medical Association – National Athletic Trainers Association Certification is desired.
Valid CPR/FA and AED certification required.
Valid Activity Supervisor Clearance Certificate (ASCC) required.
Valid California driver’s license.
What We Offer:
Monday-Friday (35 hours a week)
Work hours between 7:30am-4pm
Pay ranges between $28-33/hour depending on experience
Essential Duties andResponsibilities:
Provides on-site athletic andphysical training, post injury care, and rehabilitative care
Prepares and maintain dailyinjury evaluation forms on the personnel evaluated and/or treated
Develops alternative fitnessprograms
Implements treatment plans thatincorporate therapeutic exercise, modalities and work conditioning as necessary
Attends all scheduled PhysicalFitness and Wellness classes, and any other events deemed necessary
Oversees and be present at allrehabilitative care sessions
Conducts an initial assessmentof the individual’s injury or illness to provide emergency or continued careand to determine whether they should be referred to physicians for definitive diagnosisand treatment
Applies protective or injurypreventive devices, such as tape, bandages, or braces, to body parts, such asankles, fingers, or wrists
Assesses and reports theprogress of recovering patients to appropriate healthcare professionals and/orindividuals
Collaborates with healthcareprofessionals to develop and implement comprehensive rehabilitation programsfor injuries
Cares for injuries, usingphysical therapy equipment, techniques, or medication
Performs administrative tasks,such as keeping records or writing reports
Plans or implementscomprehensive injury or illness prevention programs
Instructs coaches, athletes,parents, medical personnel, or community members in the care and prevention ofathletic injuries
Conducts initial injuryevaluations; develop written treatment and injury prevention plans.
Performs other duties asassigned/necessary
