ANNOUNCEMENT- 5 Part-Time Positions
Technical Assistance Providers will support one or more of the Tuskegee University Meat and Poultry Processing Technical Assistant (
MPPTA) programs. Scopes include the following:
- Federal grant application management-Navigate federal grants processes and procedures, from pre-award applications process through post-award grant management compliance.
- Business development and financial planning-Business and financial planning resources, market intelligence, and project/concept feasibility analysis.
- Meat and poultry processing technical operation support-Provide advice and resources to support the operational needs-including workforce development of processing plant development and utilization.
- Supply chain development-Support for the development of successful supply chain and marketing relationships between suppliers, processors, distributors, and customers.
- MPPTAcommunications-Generate internal and external communication to include main website content and social marketing, media relations and event support. Determine content topics, coordinates with others to obtain information, writes, edits, designs, and send to relevant stakeholders. Prepare and supervises the production of press releases, announcements, brochures, event materials, photographs, newsletters, etc.
Essential Job Duties
- Provide assistance to clients so that the client may produce desired outputs/products.
- Manage storage by wrangling data through archiving
- Work to ensure full resource utilization during shift
- Operate independently including complex troubleshooting and scheduling service as deemed necessary
- Assist in the evaluation of new or modified techniques when required
- Advise and assist in the orientation and training of other personnel as necessary
- Report problems or general issues that hinder the completion of tasks
- Participate in development projects, scope-related scripts required to support ongoing efforts
Perform basic administrative support duties as listed below:
- Conducting data entry
- Processing invoices
- Managing vendor payments
- Manage calendar and appointment scheduling
- Preparing, processing and archiving of various types of documents including applications, inspection and inventory logs, delivery records, timesheets, requisition forms, and various types of agreements and contracts
- Submit regular reports that are frequency determined by supervisor, projects activities etc.
- Act as a liaison relaying information and documents between numerous stakeholders
- Handle routine correspondence and respond to general inquiries
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications (Education, Experience and Specialized Training)
- Some education beyond high school
- Associates degree or Bachelors degree in field related to one or more of the scopes
- Technical experience in at least one of the aforementioned scopes
- Experience in leadership role with demonstrated critical thinking skills is a plus
Physical Demands
- Able to stand for long periods
- Able to lift 50 lbs.
- Able to sit for long periods
Skills and Attributes
Knowledge of:
- Basic computer fluency with Microsoft Office Suite and web conferencing (Word, Excel, Zoom, Teams, etc.)
