Description

We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity, based in Tuskegee, Alabama. We are in search of an Accounting Analyst who will play a critical role in managing and processing customer applications, maintaining precise customer credit records, and handling customer inquiries. This role also involves monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate action when necessary.

Responsibilities:

• Execute accounting transactions and understand their implications

• Maintain and update Excel spreadsheets to monitor incoming grants

• Determine the performance period of grants

• Verify and fulfill reporting requirements for grants

• Oversee customer credit applications and process them with accuracy and efficiency

• Maintain and update customer credit records regularly

• Resolve customer inquiries promptly and professionally

• Monitor customer accounts and take necessary action based on their status

• Utilize accounting software systems effectively to perform accounting functions

• Manage both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable effectively

• Conduct auditing tasks when required

• Apply knowledge and skills in Microsoft Excel for the management of grants and accounting functions

• Leverage experience with government grants, if any, to improve the efficiency of the accounting functions.

Requirements • Proficiency in using Accounting Software Systems is a requirement for this role, enabling efficient management of financial data.

• A strong understanding and ability to perform all Accounting Functions is essential, ensuring accurate and timely financial operations.

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) is needed, allowing for effective management of outgoing payments.

• Knowledge in handling Accounts Receivable (AR) is crucial, to ensure the proper recording and collection of revenues.

• Auditing skills are necessary, to maintain the integrity of financial records and identify any discrepancies or potential areas of improvement.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required, allowing for efficient data analysis and report generation.

• Experience with Government Grants is needed, to ensure compliance with regulations and accurate reporting of financial activities associated with these grants.
