GENERAL FUNCTION:
Assists in the administration of commercial construction, industrial and real-estate lending, performs various duties to assist the commercial lender and customers. Achieves customer service and sales objectives by explaining bank products and services to customers and identifying needs to cross sale as warranted.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manages a loan portfolio under his or her assigned authority limit. Services loan portfolio in a manner consistent with sound banking practices, while maintaining profitability.

``` - Interviews loan applicants, analyzes financial information and makes appropriate loan decisions; Decisions must be based primarily on opinions derived from facts and projections based upon the best available information; Must abide by specified lending authority as dictated by the loan policy and procedures manual. - Identifies non-conforming credits which need additional approval or assistance.

``` - Handles loan package preparation and submission to Preflight and DLC committees for assigned lender portfolios. - Provide preliminary research on the prospects, submarkets, etc. - Order Credit Reports, request documentation from prospect/customer such as financials, etc. - Coordinate opening checking accounts and setting up loans when closed, etc. - Assists with the construction loan draw process including ordering bank inspections, ordering title, etc. as assigned by the supervisor. - Coordinate loan advances, prepare and submit tickets, request bank wires after approved by appropriate personnel. - Ensure payment of interest on loans and monitor past dues. - Provide a contact source to customers and bank participants. - Track Term Sheet deposits. - Initiate ordering appraisals and make sure appraisals get reviewed after received for assigned lenders. - Follow loans to ensure that covenants are met and required financial information is received as required in the loan docs (i.e. annual financial statements, operating statements, debt service coverage ratios, compliance, etc.), - Research and assist with any payment or processing issues/problems. - Assist with coordination of travel for officers as assigned.

``` - Demonstrates an aptitude for banking and exhibits proficiency in all areas of loan documentation. Has an inherent duty and responsibility to follow all policies and procedures regarding loan documentation.

Resolves customers' questions or problems within the scope of his or her authority and perform secretarial duties necessary for the efficient operation of the department. - Assists Lending Officers in processing loans and correspondence. - Reviews real estate appraisals and title insurance for exceptions regarding real-estate loans. - Works together with Loan Officers to clear exceptions. - Monitors status of documentation and reports to appropriate loan officer. - Initiates and follows up on real-estate loan files in compliance with all state and federal regulations. - Coordinates loan closings with loan officers, customers, loan processing and attorneys when applicable.

Treasury Management:

``` - Analyze, plan and organize a sales strategy that will identify custom r needs and recommend products and services to satisfy those needs while consistently striving to gain their full financial relationship. - Must also expedite the resolution of customer problems/complaints. Turn customer problems into sales opportunities by explaining how specific products or services can prevent or resolve the recurrence of future difficulties. - Conduct follow-up service calls to all accounts to ensure satisfaction with all agreements reached during initial sales approach. - Keep abreast of the products, applications, technical service, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising and promotional trends through the reading of pertinent literature and consulting with marketing and technical services. - Assists in the implementation of new products or programs to help provide better service to customers and stimulate new growth. - Requires the ability to interact effectively with all levels of bank personnel. Acts as a liaison with branch employees/commercial lenders and customers.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Closes various types of loans in the absence of the loan officer.
- Maintains knowledge of all bank products and services.
- Cross-sells to existing and prospective customers.
- Performs all other duties assigned by supervisor.
