Overview
CHI St. Alexius Health is seeking a Family Medicine physician to join our robust and growing health care system with a steadfast commitment to the communities in which we work and live. With our Level II trauma center, tertiary hospital, and multiple clinics in Bismarck & Mandan, ND, we are looking to expand our Rural Healthcare access to provide care to a greater patient population in Turtle Lake, Washburn, and Garrison, ND.
We're recruiting a full-time physician to provide comprehensive care across our rural and urban healthcare system. This unique position offers a full scope of clinical practice, including Rural Health: Coverage of our rural health facilities and critical access hospitals, encompassing emergency department (ED) coverage and inpatient (IP) rounding. Urban Primary Care: Develop and grow your own patient panel in our busy primary care clinics in the greater Bis/Man area.

Practice Details :
Position to cover:
Rural Health Clinic:
Minimum 1 day a week in Turtle Lake and Washburn
CAH ED with IP rounding:
Call expectation of 1 weekend a month in Turtle Lake
Urban Clinic:
Up to 4 days a week in Bismarck or Mandan
Physician support, collaboration, and cross coverage with Garrison CAH/ED/Clinic and Bismarck/Mandan

FM board certified or board eligible
Ability to obtain ND license
Must have BLS, ACLS, PALS, and ATLS
CHI St. Alexius Health Turtle Lake is a 25 bed critical access hospital with 24/7 Level V Emergency Department that has been committed to providing patients quality medical treatment in the Turtle Lake area and surrounding communities since 1952. Both the Turtle Lake Family Clinic and Washburn Family Clinic offers full range family practice services including care of all chronic medical conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol and asthma, routine physicals for adults and children. Responsibilities
Patient Care:
Diagnose and treat various medical conditions.
Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans.
Conduct thorough medical examinations and histories.
Communication:
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
Provide clear and concise medical information.
Foster a collaborative and patient-centered approach to healthcare.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
Document medical findings, diagnoses, and treatment plans.
Ensure compliance with coding and billing regulations.
Diagnostic Procedures:
Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging.
Perform procedures as needed
Collaborate with specialists for further diagnostic evaluation.
Team Collaboration:
Collaborate with nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals.
Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case discussions.
Provide consultative services to other healthcare providers.
Quality Improvement:
Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives.
Review and analyze clinical outcomes for continuous improvement.
Implement changes to enhance patient care and safety.
Compliance:
Adhere to ethical and legal standards in medical practice.
Stay informed about healthcare regulations and compliance requirements.
Participate in quality audits to ensure adherence to standards.
Continuous Learning:
Stay abreast of medical advancements and best practices.

Qualifications
American Board Certified or Board Eligible in Specified Area of Medical Specialty
A valid and unrestricted state medical license or license-eligible
Pay Range
$163.51 - $171.69 /hour
