Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Accountant to join our team, based in Tupelo, Mississippi. The primary function of this role is to manage and oversee all aspects of our accounting operations. This position is part of the finance industry and will be placed in a dynamic and fast-paced workplace.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all general ledger activity

• Ensure compliance with all internal processes

• Prepare financial reports and statements

• Perform account analysis and reconciliation

• Manage the annual audit process

• Implement and monitor internal controls

• Assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts

• Process payments and invoices accurately and timely

• Resolve accounting discrepancies in a timely and accurate manner

• Provide strong leadership to the accounting team. Requirements

• Applicant should possess a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting

• Demonstrated experience in a similar role is crucial.

• Comprehensive understanding and knowledge of accounting functions such as accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting.

• Proficiency in accounting software, Microsoft Excel, and other business systems.

• Robust analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent numerical skills and understanding of data privacy standards.

• Capability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong oral and written communication skills.

• Exceptional time management and organizational skills.

• Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure.

• Knowledge of local, state, and federal tax regulations.

• Detail oriented certification such as CPA or CMA is preferable.
