DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Maintenance Repairman 2, your role will involve supporting the bridge crew with various concrete and welding tasks. This includes but is not limited to measuring, cutting, and assembling concrete forms; constructing wooden walls and partitions; handling repairs for doors and windows; and other carpentry duties. You will also be responsible for mixing concrete on-site or overseeing the placement of ready-mixed concrete, ensuring that all structures are properly finished and cured. Additionally, you will engage in stonework, which involves cutting, fitting, grouting, and pointing as needed.
Your duties will also encompass manual labor using hand tools like shovels, rakes, and hammers, along with operating motorized equipment such as power saws and jackhammers. Furthermore, you will be tasked with maintaining and repairing essential systems, including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), electrical, plumbing, and fire safety. You will also be expected to identify and recommend any necessary follow-up work to ensure everything runs smoothly.
Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Work hours are subject to change due to weather/season, 4:00 AM to 12:00 PM or 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1; or Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.
