This is a single position posted at multiple levels. The job description below is based on the Sr. level, additional skills and experience are required for manager. Successful candidate will be offered according to their

skills, education and experience. In this role, you will lead a team of Construction coordinators in the execution of multi-regional Telecom construction projects related to civil, tower, electrical and demo activities. Possess an expert understanding of construction standards and practices and demonstrates the ability to mentor and guide other employees. Lead scheduling meetings, site bid meetings and project kick-off meetings to review expectations related to safety, scope of work and schedules. Support a strong construction safety culture and facilitate the execution of AEP's safety standards and practices.

Job Description

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Oversee the preparation of construction packages for site coordinators and contractors to include drawings, scope of work, permits, bidders response form, JHSA and summary sheets for the project.

Lead field site visits as needed before, during and after project completion.

Demonstrate an expert understanding and oversee the development of construction guidelines and OSHA standards.

Manage, implement, and enforce processes and project work flow adherence with AEP Construction team standards, established practices and applicable state and local codes or regulations.

Ensure Environmental concerns are addressed and compliant with current standards and processes.

Evaluate RFP and bid responses with various stakeholders to review and select contractors to support the timely completion of projects.

Collaborate with internal and external stackholders to resolve issues, as needed.

Provides mentoring, guidance and training to all Construction team members, contractors and other stakeholders.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor Degree + 10 years relevant experience OR Associate degree or 5 year apprenticeship as journeyman electrician with 12 years relevant experience OR High School Diploma / GED with 14 years relevant experience License/Certifications: Valid Driver License Required.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Project support, tracking, analysis or coordination experience.

  2. Experience with enterprise software applications or equivalent including: Asset Suite (Work Management, Contract management, Procurement), Business Objects, EcoSys, Primavera P6, Powerplant, Docusign, PeopleSoft financials.

  3. Proficient use of desktop and web applications: Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook, Access, ShareNow, Sharepoint, Google Earth, Adobe.

  4. Experience with reviewing civil and electrical construction design packages, drawings, and bid documents.

  5. OSHA 30 certication is preferred.

  6. Travel required up to 50% Physical Demands: List physical demands required for this job but not limited to: 1. Physical site visits may be required with varying degrees of topography and weather conditions

Compensation Range:

$83,413.00-104,267.50 USD
