As a manager, you will guide your team in resolving complex issues, driving improvements, and developing strategies. Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Oversee engineering evaluations of existing or potential acquisition storage assets
Assess reserves connecting supply to existing pipe systems and provide development recommendations based on return metrics
Review of third-party operations encroachment through or adjacent to existing storage facilities
Supervise, develop and assist the technical support staff
Work closely with technical teams to ensure alignment between project objectives, technical requirements, and financial targets
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to formulate business cases, including feasibility studies, and cost-benefit analyses
Utilize data analytics to predict trends and potential issues, allowing for proactive management
Responsible for making significant improvements to processes, systems or products to enhance performance of team(s)
Communicates and presents findings/recommendations with senior or executive leadership regarding proposed and existing projects
Mentor, coach, and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning, professional growth, and high performance
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in an engineering discipline, preferably Petroleum, Mechanical Engineering or similar field of study
Work Experience
Experience in underground storage activities including design, operations and maintenance of underground facilities
Knowledge and experience related to natural gas pipeline transmission operations and commercial activities surrounding storage facilities
Knowledge and experience of state regulations pertaining to underground storage facilities
Experience leading, training, directing, interacting, and communicating effectively. Knowledge of personnel policies and procedures
Experience researching and analyzing information, identifying problems, and providing alternatives and/or recommendations on matters related to storage, workover, and completion of oil and gas wells; technical and engineering studies; and regulatory compliance
Specialized training related to:
Reservoir engineering
Geology
Storage
Equipment design and operation
Experience researching, analyzing, composing, and/or preparing engineering studies, geological statistics, reports, cost analyses, memorandums, policies and procedures
Experience designing, implementing and analyzing reservoir surveillance programs
Experience reviewing and interpreting governmental regulations, technical reports, engineering studies, manuals, contracts, technical trade journals, publications, and correspondence
Experience developing information, conducting meetings, and making presentations to groups and individuals
Experience negotiating, directing, advising, and communicating effectively
Exposure to natural gas and pipeline preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Highly proficient in standard office computer applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint PowerBI, etc.) and proficient in special software applications pertaining to storage and reserves applications
Must have demonstrated experience working with multidisciplinary teams with a proven record as a strong team player with the aptitude to innovate and be open to new ideas
Ability to develop and make presentations to senior management as required
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Licenses and Certifications
- State Licensed Professional Engineer preferred
