Description:
The Security Associate is responsible for protecting employees, company property, and visitors through, among other things, monitoring surveillance equipment and properly screening visitors and employees. Bama is seeking people who possess and demonstrate characteristics that include a mindset of ownership and accountability and an intrinsic drive to help people. This person should possess organizational skills to effectively handle a variety of tasks and ability to provide support for all security emergency situations.

Perform the essential functions and physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
Regularly attend work on time and for the entire shift at the office or plant where you are scheduled
Complete job tasks and responsibilities as directed or required
Assist with all emergency incidents: injuries, evacuations, the media, and drills
Monitor and manage all alarm and camera systems at security
Conduct facility walkthroughs to monitor doors and site for the purpose of food security, Department of Homeland Security compliance, and pest issue identification
Ensure all paperwork is filled in legibly and correctly for area of responsibility
Effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in written form
Deal politely & work cooperatively w/ team members & others in the facility, by listening to & respecting each other
Work overtime and holidays as needed
Participate in all team activities and training (e.g., emergency response team, evacuation team, continuous improvement projects, plant safety initiatives, etc.)
Perform safety sensitive functions and identify, correct and improve potential safety items; both human and food
Report safety violations, hazards or near misses that you see or become aware of
Understand and comply with Bama's Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's), including head covering, facial hair requirements, gloves, shoes, etc.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED
CLEET certified as an Unarmed Security Guard
Competent in security camera system operations and managing facility alarm systems
Demonstrated reasoning ability, especially in decision making involving security in emergency situations
