Job Title: Machine Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating and maintaining equipment to meet production and quality standards. This is an entry-level position with opportunities for growth.

Responsibilities

  • Work safely under functional safety guidelines such as PPE and equipment interaction.

  • Perform basic operation of equipment to produce to rate and meet quality standards.

  • Set up and operate forming, deburring, and heading machines to create sleeves or other products.

  • Monitor machine operations to determine whether adjustments are necessary; stop machines when problems occur.

  • Perform housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and orderly workstation and perform basic machine upkeep, including lubing, bluecoat, gritblast, sleeve washing, or packaging as needed.

Essential Skills

  • Experience with machine operation, part marking, warehouse, production, and inspection.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, blueprints, and procedure manuals.

  • Basic math skills to solve problems.

  • Knowledge of shop practices and procedures, ability to read blueprints, and ability to use hand tools and measuring instruments.

  • At least 1 year of related experience or equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Familiarity with bellcoat/thermal epoxy application.

  • Ability to operate the bluecoat machine.

  • Hairless face required for proper respirator fit.

  • Ability to read and write English.

This role is eligible to participate in the Company’s Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 1X the Company’s bonus multiple, based on the Company’s performance in the applicable quarter. Work Environment

The position is in a large aerospace machine shop. The work shifts are as follows: 3rd shift (8pm to 4:30am or 10pm to 6:30am). There is also a temporary shop laborer assignment that ends in mid-January 2025.
